What does the price include?
The prices shown include unlimited mileage, third-party liability insurance, the road vignette and CDW protection. Once you fill in the form, the system automatically works out the total amount to pay if you rent the car.

How old are the cars?
The cars are generally less than about 3 years old. All have ABS/brake assist and air conditioning. Although we cannot guarantee the exact engine, only the class of the car, being so new their fuel consumption is very low.

With it you can reduce your financial liability for the rental car to zero in case of damage or an accident. It is valid as long as it is added to the booking and its conditions and the rental contract are respected.
The cold season need not get in the way of your plans either: in winter the cars are fitted with winter tyres free of charge for your comfort and safety.

Age and eligibility
Most cars can be rented by people holding a personal Visa or Mastercard debit card in the main driver's name, aged at least 23 and with a driving licence held for at least 1 year. In some cases these requirements vary from car to car and are shown under each rental car in the section Terms & Conditions

You can find a rental car in Bucharest (Otopeni Airport), Iași, Suceava, Bacău, Botoșani, Constanța, Brăila, Galați, Craiova, Timișoara, Arad, Oradea, Cluj, Târgu Mureș, Sibiu, Brașov and Ploiești, as well as in Budapest (HU), Lisbon (PT) and a few other European Union cities we currently cover.
Driving in Romania
- In Romania the speed limits are usually 50 km/h in towns, 90 km/h on national roads and 130 km/h on motorways. To avoid fines, check the signs for the specific limits of the areas you will travel through.
- Headlights on: on all public roads the lights must be on during the day (position or dipped beam), especially outside towns.
- Rural roads are often crossed by carts, cyclists or wild animals, so be careful. Some roads, especially in rural areas, may be in poor condition, with potholes or unpaved stretches.
General advice
- If you drive to Constanța and cross the Fetești (Cernavodă) bridge, always keep the toll receipt or confirmation SMS so you can prove to the authorities that the bridge toll was paid.
- Many Romanian drivers use Waze to avoid traffic, speed cameras and other obstacles. We recommend using this app.
- In Romania there is zero tolerance for alcohol and drugs at the wheel. You risk severe penalties if you are caught.
- Children under 12 or under 140 cm must sit in the back seat and use special child safety seats.
Did you know?
- Ambulances and fire engines have absolute priority. If you see one, pull over to the right immediately.
- On national and rural roads you may meet wild animals. Watch the signs and slow down in risk areas.
- There are fixed and mobile speed cameras on many roads, including the DN1 and the motorways. Respect the speed limits.
- If you come from the USA or Canada you need an international driving permit. The same applies if you come from outside the EU and the country that issued your licence has not signed the Vienna Convention.
- For extra peace of mind, consider full protection, especially for accidents, theft, vandalism or natural events.

Prices depend on the class, the deposit and the supplier, as well as on the rental period and the number of days. On request there are also special classes such as estate cars, minibuses, MPVs and vans for goods.

For any other period, in summer, at Christmas or at Easter, rates vary a lot.
